Yes, it is Mathematics, the language of numbers! Do you think you can handle this king of all sciences in a better way than others! Then you have landed in the right place!!!  It is that time of the year again, when battles are fought on the head, ideas and model triumph over one another! It is that time when Gauss and Gaussians move out of  the text books and make an impact on concrete ideas!! Welcome to Math Modeling, a unique event replete with riveting modelling challenges at Kurukshetra 2012!!!

ONLINE EVENT ROUND1 EXTENDED TILL JAN 13, 23:59 HOURS!!!
     




 The event consists of online as well as onsite rounds.

Three teams from the onsite round and three teams from the online round will be selected for the final round.

Online Round:

This round will be held in 2 levels.

Teams will be eliminated in both these levels.

Level 1:

  • This round consists of 10 questions some being simple and some involving modelling problems.
  • The scoring criteria will be posted along with the questions.
  • 15 teams will be selected for Level 2 .

                   The online event starts on 11th January, 2012 at 00:00 hours.

Level 2:

  • The format will be disclosed once the candidates get selected to this level.
  • From this level Three teams will get qualified to the Finals.
     

Onsite Round:

This round will also be held in two levels.

Teams will be eliminated in both these levels.

Level 1:

  • This round will feature interesting problems which are relatively simple.
  • There will be a total of 15 questions some serving as tie breakers.
  • The duration of the level is 60 minutes.
  • 10 teams will qualify for level two.

Level 2:

  • The participants will have to solve the crossword puzzle based on maths concepts.
  • The duration of this level is 60 minutes.
  • 3 teams will qualify for finals.

Finals:

  • Six teams will appear for this round. ( Three from online and Three from onsite)
  • The Finals will mainly feature modelling problems.
  • The winner will be selected based on the performance in this round only.
     

 





 
  1. Each team can have maximum of two members.
  2. Participants must refrain from indulging in malpractices of any kind which will automatically lead to their disqualification.
  3. The decision of the judges is final and binding.
